Capturing a secret proposal in Prague has been a dream of mine for years. I still remember the first time someone asked me to photograph their proposal. It was three years ago, but I had to say no because I was staying home with my newborn daughter. I wondered if I would ever get another chance. This year, the opportunity finally came, and it was everything I had hoped for.
On the day of the proposal, I was nervous. Most of my photoshoots in Prague happen early in the morning when the streets are quiet, and the light is soft. This proposal had to happen later in the day, so I was worried about finding the couple in the busy city and whether the light would work well. But as soon as I met them, everything started to come together perfectly.
The moment itself was unforgettable. Watching the surprise and happiness on their faces was so emotional. The beauty of a secret proposal is in its raw emotions—the surprise, the love, and the joy. Being able to photograph such a special moment in a place as beautiful as Prague felt so rewarding. After the proposal, we continued the celebration with an engagement couple session on the grounds of Prague Castle. The castle’s historic charm and stunning views made the perfect backdrop for romantic photos, capturing the couple’s happiness after their big moment.
